Snow Moore Snow days

We are out of school again tomorrow. There is still plenty of snow on the ground and ice and slush as well. Walks down the street to the hill is our daily outting. I had hoped that I would spend this time drawing and creating-but it seems that everyone needs something all day long. Hot chocolate, birthday pizzas, beef and barley...and lots of loving. Keep warm

heART fundraiser

Set to open in the Upstairs gallery in Tryon, NC- the Moore hearts are complete and ready. Olivia's Starry heART is made in the Van Gogh fashion of thick impasto paint, which she enjoyed. Abrum 's PiZza my heART was created with stamps that he drew out and I cut-he picked the colors and stamped and painted- I added the lines afterwards

A new Year

Happy new Year to all! What does this year hold for you? What plans have you put into place?

Abrum is working on more vegtables in his diet. Last night he tried a carrot-not his favorite. 

Olivia has decided to be tall- I haven't heard the plans involved in keeping that New Year's Plan. I'll keep you updated!

I should probably post the cute little pictures that came before this one, but these are my kids. My muses, my distractions and my love. So hug your loved ones close and Season's Greetings to all and to all...rock on!

Winter

The weather has turned colder here, and after many days of rain we see the sun. Which is good because I thought I might have to invest in a Vitamin D light. Scarves, hats and jackets are strewn on the floor in every room and as we enter the last half of this week, we prepare to pack and get ready for FL. Where not only is it warm, but our hearts will boil over with love from FL family.

The babies decided to draw a circus town while I worked in the illustration studio-just an average weekend morning.

Living with boys

Moving seemed like a great time to disgard the bath toys. They get super gross and yuck! So away they went-and I  felt good- the kids were getting older and who needs bath toys?

First day

Off they go to their first day at a new school, Abrum was thrilled to start kindergarten where he reported that he enjoyed the cafeteria and making new friends. Olivia is thrilled and overjoyed to be back at school- her teacher lives science and Olivia is in heaven

Last days of summer

The last days of summer, the last days before my baby becomes a kindergartener....our days have been spent visiting, hosting, adventuring, creating, rescuing and going to the library!

New addition

This is Cilantro, our newest addition. Olivia has waited a very long time to have a pet kitten of her very own. She is doing very well as a kitten owner- and allowing her brother to help.

Making a home

The kids and I have started our journey to making a home. Yesterday we bought plants and seeds, visited the local orchard and fed their goats and today we got our local library card. What could be better? Abrum picked out a book on bedtime for monsters, Olivia a nonfiction book on dolphins, and I found another interesting illustrated book involving math- what a crew.

Tadpole catching

We spent Saturday at Table Rock visiting old friends and looking for tadpoles, which we kept to watch turn into frogs. Olivia decided that everyone should name one- so now we have Rexdino, Elle, Huckleberry and Sophie- can you guess who named who?
